Ever wonder how Braum’s makes their delicious ice cream, milk, ice cream cones, cookies, breads and more? Check it out in person by taking a free tour of our state-of-the-art Bakery and Processing Plant on the Braum Family Farm in Tuttle, Oklahoma (45 minutes southwest of Oklahoma City).
We offer our BAKERY and PLANT TOURS by RESERVATION ONLY Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at the following times: 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. We are currently booking tours for this month and the next two months only. Tours are free of charge and last approximately 2 hours.
During the tour, guests will enjoy a 15 minute video, a sample of Braum’s Ice Cream and bakery fresh cookies, and a tour of our Bakery and Processing Plant where you can see how we make and package milk, ice cream, a variety of dairy products, cookies, ice cream cones, breads, buns and more!
Reservations are required and space is limited so in order to accommodate each group we ask that you make your reservations well in advance. We can accommodate approximately 28 guests per tour. At Braum’s we believe in natural – especially when it comes to our milk. Braum’s milk comes exclusively from our private dairy herd on two of our Oklahoma farms – Tuttle and Shattuck. Braum’s has announced they will begin construction on a new state-of-the-art store in Amarillo that will replace the current store located at 4629 South Western. The current store, built in June 1986, closed at the end of business on Sunday, August 12th and demolition/construction began immediately. If all goes as planned, Braum’s company officials hope to open their new “W” store model early next year.
The new Amarillo “W” store design is the company’s largest state-of-the-art store with a completely new look and feel – inside and out. The building will be 5,756 (five thousand seven hundred fifty six) square feet with a stacked stone exterior and composition gabled roof. The store’s interior will have open beamed ceilings and track lighting. The dining area, with its colorful tables and booths, will seat 86 guests. The “Fresh Market” grocery area will be much larger to accommodate Braum’s growing product offerings. Employees currently working at the Amarillo store have been transferred to nearby Braum’s locations until store construction has been completed.
The new Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Store located at 501 West Main Street in Independence opened Monday, November 19th. This new store is located a little over one mile away from the older store it replaced at 1415 North Penn. The 28-year-old store closed its doors at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 18th and the new store opened the next morning at 6:00 a.m. The new Braum’s store is a “W” model and is the company’s latest store design with 5,756 square feet and seating for 86 guests.
Police attempt to serve a Shawnee man with an arrest warrant but apparently the only thing the man wanted to be served was a Braum’s Cheeseburger and Banana Shake!
SHAWNEE, Okla. — Shawnee police are very familiar with 45-year-old Timothy Gene Deathrage. They said they have been to his home more times than they can remember. Shawnee Police Chief Russell Frantz said, “I’ve dealt with him all my career, 25 years.” But when authorities recently came to his home at 707 N. Tucker to serve an arrest warrant for domestic assault and battery, Deathrage refused to surrender. Frantz said, “He slammed the door and announced he had a firearm and he was not going to be taken into custody.”Police set up a perimeter and began to negotiate a peaceful resolution. According to Frantz, “The suspect said he was hungry so we used that as a tool to build a relationship.” Timothy Deathrage was very specific; he wanted a hot and fresh Braum’s cheeseburger with all the veggies and a banana shake before he’d consider surrendering.The chief negotiator raced to Braum’s and returned with his order. When the suspect opened the front door to claim his dinner, the negotiator could see his hands were empty. He took advantage of the opportunity, tackled Deathrage to the ground and ended the hour and a half long standoff.Deathrage was cuffed and hauled to jail. That cheeseburger was the only casualty in the chaos. Chief Frantz said, “We were all asking, ‘did anybody pick that up?’” Timothy Deathrage won’t go hungry; authorities said he’ll get three square meals a day in the Pottawatomie County Jail. Braum’s is ready to scoop up something sweet in Murphy, TX. The family-owned ice cream and dairy store opened its newest location at 306 West FM 544 on Tuesday, April 29. This is Braum’s 279th store in a five-state area. The new building is almost 5,000 square feet of space with double-drive through windows and a dining room that can seat about 75 guests. This location is one of Braum’s more modern designs. 
“There is a lot of anticipation for the doors to open at this store,” said Drew Braum, President. “Our customers have been asking for a Braum’s in the Murphy-Wylie area for years. We hope they really enjoy everything this store has to offer,” Braum said.
The newest addition to the Braum’s menu will make you feel like royalty!
